Melbourne, Australia – FAW Trucks Australia has appointed Hartwigs Trucks as a new dealership partner, marking another step in the brand’s national dealer network rollout.

Under the agreement, Hartwigs Trucks will support FAW Trucks customers across two primary marketing areas: Canberra for sales, service and spare parts, and Shepparton for service and spare parts.

The appointment strengthens FAW Trucks Australia’s growing regional support capability and supports the company’s broader strategy to build a capable, service-led dealer network across Australia.

Strategic growth and dealer capability

Ben Wang, Chairman of FAW Trucks Australia, said the appointment reflects the company’s measured approach to national growth.

“The appointment of Hartwigs Trucks is an important step in the continued development of FAW Trucks Australia’s dealer network,” Wang said.

“Hartwigs Trucks brings long-standing regional market knowledge, strong customer relationships and proven aftersales capability. That is exactly the type of dealer partner we want as we continue to build confidence in the FAW brand across Australia.”

A century of regional experience

Founded in 1923, Hartwigs Trucks is a fifth-generation family business with more than a century of experience supporting transport operators across regional markets.

Charlie Hartwig, Director of Hartwigs Trucks, said the partnership reflects Hartwigs Trucks’ selective approach to the manufacturers it represents.

“Hartwigs have always been very selective about the manufacturers we represent,” Hartwig said.

“Over more than 100 years, we’ve built our reputation by partnering with brands that share our values of quality, integrity, strong after-sales support and a genuine commitment to the Australian market.”

“FAW impressed us with its willingness to invest in Australia for the long term, its openness to working closely with dealers, and the quality of the products it is bringing to market.”

Continued network development

FAW Trucks Australia is continuing to develop its local dealer network as it introduces the FAW brand to Australian customers.

It’s focused on building market confidence through a combination of product value, dealer capability and long-term customer support.

“As FAW Trucks Australia grows, our focus is on developing a dealer network that can support customers with the right mix of product access, local market knowledge and after-sales care,” Wang said.

“Hartwigs Trucks strengthens that network and gives customers another experienced regional support partner as we continue our staged national rollout.”
